From 27 October to 3 November 2022 EU-CONEXUS is commemorating to CNN Call to Earth Day and will gather maximum amount of students, staff, researchers and partners to clean the beach! In 1 hour one university team will need to pick up as many trash as possible in their home town beaches. On 3 November we will compete on the amount of trash collected seperately, as well as emphasize the impact on the beaches of EU-CONEXUS port cities in general!
At Klaipeda University we are inviting our community members to “Cleaning & Running Marathon” that will take place on 26 October, 3pm – we will start in Ist Melnrage Beach. Within 1 hour, students, researchersw, staff and all university members have to collect as much trash as they can to clean a beach or a coastline, and prevent the pollution of our Baltic sea.
! Important information regarding the trip to the seaside – KU friends "Dancer Bus" will take care of a zero-emission trip from the University campus to the seaside with an electric bus! Those travelling by eco-friendly transport are invited to wait for a bus near the University's Senate building (Herkus Mantas 84) at 2:45 p.m.
!! Recycled plastic garbage bags and gloves will be taken care of by us.
!!! After a beautiful promotion, we will treat ourselves with a cup of coffee / tea at the seaside café "Ateik Ateik", just do not forget to take your reusable cup!
